Jamaica, a land flowing with world-class music, has witnessed myriads of dancehall reggae music being orchestrated year in and year out. The twenty-twenty year passed by without an exception, and every momentous time was captured, in all-consuming fashion, by the very best music-listeners and makers of today's time. This year, we heard epic music productions from young Jamaican stars like skillful Protoje to established musicians like Trixstar.
Leading this prolific display of pure musical ingenuity was Chronixx, skillfully fusing winnowing chill G-slides, elegantly cooling some contemporary vibes, while keeping roots-reggae rhythms amped and rhythmic. Then we had the advocate of soul-lifting otherworldliness Jada Kingdom; with her throaty moan she demanded and, not waiting for permission to access all aspects of societal consciousness; notably found providing to gainful starters for everyone who partook in part and parcel with her central objective.
