Jamaican Inventions

I know the Jamaican mind is probably one of the greatest minds sought after by many a company around the world. It is so sad that in recent times, education has taken a back burner and as such the  number of visionaries/inventors coming from the island has greatly diminished.

What do you think can be done to cause the jamaican mind to excel like it used to in yester-year?
