What is living?

It's a common thing to hear people say that they're living to pay bills. And, honestly, it's hard to argue with that sentiment. Many people get up early in the morning, go to work, maybe go to church or school, and then head back to work again, only to do the same thing the next day and the day after that into eternity. But is that really living; or are we just going through the cycle of life on a hamster's wheel?

I know of two people who spent their entire lives working to keep up with the bills. They never got a chance to live. They never took a vacation, never went out to dinner, never even took a walk in the park. They just worked, paid bills, and existed.

But what is the point of life if we're not truly living it? Living is smelling the roses as you go along through life. It's going to places like the beach, visiting the park, and enjoying the simple things in life. You don't need to go to a theme park or take an extravagant trip to live. You can live right where you are.

It's true that poverty can sometimes restrict our ability to enjoy life. But with a little creativity and ingenuity, even the so-called poor can live. Pack a picnic lunch and head to the park, or take a walk around your neighborhood and explore. There are so many things we can do to enjoy the beauty of life, even if we don't have a lot of money.

The truth is, when we relax and enjoy life, it promotes better health. We feel less stressed, less anxious, and more connected to the world around us.  This is what living is all about. Being present, enjoying the moment, and savoring the experiences we get to have.

Look we only pass this way once. We never know when our time on this earth will come to an end. We don't know the exact day or the time. So, while we are here, let's make the most of it. Let's live, truly live. Let's explore the world around us, be open to new experiences, and enjoy the beauty that life has to offer. Because, after all, life is a gift, and it's up to us to make the most of it.
