Just thought I would list a few of the Jamaican dishes that are world famous . A meal is prepared by having 1 or 2 things from the starch list, then one or two things from the meats list. It is expects that there will be a salad along with your meal.

If you go to Jamaica you simply have try these dishes.
I don't eat pork, so I have not listed that meat here. However I am sure there are some Jamaicans that will tell you that you have to try pork.

Starch

1) Rice and peas

2) Boiled Green bananas

Meats

  1. Curry Goat
  2. Curry chicken
  3. Curry chicken foot (pressured)
  4. Oxtail (pressured)
  5. Brown stew Chicken
  6. Baked Chicken
  7. Grilled chicken
  8. Smoked Chicken
  9. Stew beef
  10. Roast Beef
  11. Salt mackerel



Salad
  1. Fresh Vegetable 
  2. Macaroni and Potatoes, sometimes egg
  3. Coleslaw
