Jamaican Culture

What is Jamaica's culture? Write what you know about it.

After seriously contemplating it. I decided to add a link for Jamaican curse words. Trying to blog ab out Jamaica and not include or encounter curse words is almost impossible.

The curse words no doubt is apart of the Jamaican culture not to mention smoking weed. More than anything else, Jamaica is known fr its high quality ganja.

So to be fair and comprehensive I cannot leave these things unmentioned.

Here is a link to the curse words...

  1. If you want to know what Jamaica's culture is like, all you hav eto do is listen to the soongs that eminate from the Island.

so far I have gleaned that they hate homosexuals, calling them batty-men, and that they don't like any form of oral sex. Referring to people who do it as bow cats. It seems that the most pronounced Jmaican religion s Ratafarianism. That's all I know does anyone differ?

  2. The Rastafarian Religion is a part of Jamaican’s culture alright, but the sad part of it is that they have taken something that is not religious and made it into a religion.

Hailie Salsie one of the first publicly recognized black kings from African, was taken and given the position of a god, simply becasue he was black. Haile Salisie or Tafari his common name was given the title of "Ras" which was equivalent to "Tzar" which simply meant king.

The religion Rastafari has combined his title with his name and have created a religion, calling Ras-tafarian-ism. Something that should not have been done, but was done anyway. Not to belittle Jamiacan people, but this religion seems stupid.

What is even more breath taking about this is that the Roman numeral (I) behind his name which signified that he was the first was then used to adress him as "I".

As a result many of the followers started addressing themselves after him, Calling thmeselves "I &I" which in reality would just be (II=2). But one fool makes many, now Rastafarianism has sprouted wings and has become international, inspite of the man coming to Jamaica during the 1970's claiming he wsa not God or godlike.

But the blind followers still followed him, claiming that this announcemnt was simply a display of his humility. What a load of crap. But I'm not judging a soul, just hoped that many of those educated individuals whohave taken uo this religion would really do the research and educate oour other brothers and sisters who have gone astray.

So that they will cease to emulate something that they don't quite understand. As for me I think the religion of Rastari is a farce,(another system implemented by the enemy of souls to hold people down)> but I am not writing this to convince a soul, cause the man convinced against his will is of the smae opinion still
