Jamaican Funny names for animals

 

Jamaicans have a way of renaming the things with which they come in contact. 

Animals and insects are no exception. There might be a scientific name a common name but there may well be a Jamaican name as well.

If you think I have any off the list please feel free to mention it below.

Spider - Anancy

Centipede - 40 leg

Owl - Patoo

Chicken - Fowl

Vultures - John Crow

cat - Puss

bird =Bud

lizard - Lizaad

squirel - chipmunk
