EXT. CITY VIEW - DAY A tsunami comes to Japan.
INT. CORPORATE OFFICE - DAY  A casually dressed Harry is watching the news.
NEWS ANCHOR (V.O.) The tsunami has damaged much of the coast of Japan and has caused a meltdown of the nuclear plant.  Consequently land and businesses that are within 25 miles of the plant is condemned owing to radiation leakage.
Audio of the news anchor continues inaudible in the background. Harry's phone rings.
HARRY  Hello. MALE (V.O.) Cash in the policies as soon as possible. HARRY  Shouldn’t I wait a little first? MALE (V.O.) If we wait, the claims may not be paid in full. HARRY  OK. I will fly in next week to solidify the claims and collect the checks. MALE (V.O.)  OK. See you when you get back.
Harry hangs up the phone but sees a reminder to meet Matias in an hour.

EXT. SHANDLER'S SIDEWALK CAFE - DAY The sidewalk is busy with pedestrian traffic, Harry and Matias meet at a sidewalk cafe.
HARRY HISPANIC (LATE-50'S)  I just can't understand why you keep choosing these run  down places to meet. MATIAS  It's easy Dad. No one will remember two men having a drink here. As a result, we can hide in plain sight. HARRY  Did you find the flash drive John has been asking about? MATIAS (HISPANIC LATE-20'S) This woman only used her computer for personal stuff. She had nothing to do with the machine plans. She was as straight as an arrow.
HARRY Did you make sure her computer would  be inaccessible? MATIAS  Yeah, I installed a virus on her computer before  the crash. Nothing will be retrievable from  her laptop. She seemed nice, It’s just a  pity someone wanted her dead? HARRY  Her brother wanted her  seat at the table. MATIAS  She was old. Couldn't  he, just have asked? HARRY  It's never that easy. MATIAS  I know what you mean. HARRY Have you ever thought of retiring  from this line of work? MATIAS  I can't! HARRY  And I know why. That's the reason  son, I regret ever having gotten you  involved.
Matias shakes his head in annoyance
MATIAS Look, the milk has already been spilt, and there is no need in crying over it now. Besides, I'm making a good living shouldn't  a father be proud of a son for that? HARRY  I am proud, it's just that I wish  I had made another way.
MATIAS  This is the hand I've been dealt, and I'm  making the most of it. HARRY  Don't give up on your old man yet,I think  I have found a way to get you, me and  Santiago out of this mess that I got us in. MATIAS What is it now? Please don't get my name  or Santiago's name mixed up in any of your  Yankee Doodle Schemes. I'm already sunk,  but Santiago has a chance at a good life. HARRY No! This time is different. I  am sure it will work. MATIAS  Different or not, do not get my  name, but more importantly Santiago's name  mixed in this scheme of yours. I do not  want to spoil it for him. Understood?
Matias pauses for a moment as he looks his dad square in the eyes to ensure that he is understood. Harry shamefully nods his head in understanding.
MATIAS  I think our conversation has expired,  can I have my package now?  HARRY  Why don't you have this wired like  a civilized person?
Harry reaches under the table for the duffel bag that he had placed at his feet and uses his foot to slide it to Matias.  Matias discretely opens it and glances inside. It is loaded with stacks of hundred-dollar bills. He closes the bag, takes one more sip of his beverage and gets up from the table.
MATIAS  Cash does not leave a trail. Besides, I  get to see your ugly face. HARRY  Aren't you going to finish your drink before  you leave? It's bad manners to leave your cup  full. Haven't I taught you nothing?
Matias looks at Harry and then finishes his drink while standing. Matias then puts the duffel bag over his shoulder and pushes in his chair.  He reaches into his pocket and places a tip under his glass. Harry watches him leave, and then gets up and walks away. Neither man look back.

INT. LIMO  - DAY  Matias is stopped in a parking lot. He takes out his laptop and logs on. He finds a job posting and clicks on the ad.  A message pops up for him to enter a job number. Matias quickly types in a code and the picture of his father pops up.  Under Harry’s name the amount is $90k. Matias looks disturbed. He abruptly closes the laptop and takes out his phone to make a call.
MATIAS  Yeah this is Matias, I'm calling about the  job posting #419 Gonzalez. FEMALE (V.O.)  Is it complete? MATIAS No! that’s just it, I need a  face to face. FEMALE (V.O.)  Hold a moment.
Matias places the phone on the dash board, he then rests his hand on his face while he is on hold.
FEMALE (V.O.)  Hanger 15, 1313 Platform Drive,  Viscous Lane, Portland 5 pm. MATIAS  Portland!? That's a long way,  I can't get there by 5. FEMALE (V.O.)  Just be at the airport by 3, We'll  make your travel arrangements.
EXT. AIRSTRIP  - DAY  The small plane that Matias is on lands, and agents on the ground dressed in dark suits direct him to the back seat of a waiting car.
INT. LIMO - DAY  Matias gets into the car to speak to JOHN CAINES(ASIAN, LATE-50'S).
MATIAS  So, what's the story on Harry? JOHN CAINES (ASIAN, LATE-50'S)  We have reason to believe he sold the  information about our Cruise Ship  operation in Cairo, Egypt. We also  traced a large deposit to one  of his offshore accounts.
Matias shakes his head in disbelief.
MATIAS  No, not Harry. JOHN CAINES  Here is all the proof you will need.
John shows Matias a video on an I-Pad/tablet of his father making a trade with two unknown men. John then hands Matias a folder with pictures.
JOHN CAINES   These are the pictures of the men cashing  in on one of our policies. There were only  two people who knew about the planned cruise  ship accidents; your father was one and I was the other.
John pauses as he looks at Matias.
JOHN CAINES  I know this is a lot to ask of you, but  understand your father has crossed the line.  And you know more than anyone else, that  there is no happily ever after, for what he  has done.
Matias replies while looking out in the distance.
MATIAS I don't need the lecture, I understand. JOHN CAINES  Well then you know what must be done.
Matias sighs. and exits the car.
JOHN CAINES  Look, if it makes you feel any  better, the post wasn't meant for you.  If you can't do it, I understand. I am sure  someone else will pick up the job. MATIAS  That won't be necessary. How can I guarantee  though, that you won't go after Santiago too? JOHN CAINES  All you have to do is find that flash drive  with that audio file for me and you and your  brother will not be contacted by me or  anyone from the organization again.
Before Matias he enters the plane, he looks back at John one last time.
