Mind Blown: Jamaica Has LIVE Feeds - for the hurricane Now?!

 I have to be honest, I'm finding this hard to believe. You all know I love Jamaica—the food, the music, the vibes—it's my heart. But I've always thought of it as a place to disconnect, to get away from all this crazy high-speed tech for a minute.

Well, I was wrong.

I just found out that they have live-streaming webcams set up in some of the most well-known places on the island. I'm talking high-definition, 24/7, real-time video feeds.

Don't believe me? I didn't either. But you have to check them out.

It's not just tourist spots, either. You can find cameras pointing at places like the Half-Way-Tree clock in Kingston! You can literally check the traffic in real-time.

Think about what this means. A person can stay in London, New York, or Toronto and actually look at a place familiar to them from their childhood. 

You can see the weather at Flat bridge, or just feel a little piece of home when you're feeling homesick by looking at downtown parade.

This is incredible!

Seriously, hat's off to the government of Jamaica for coming up with this one. It's one thing to see pictures, but it's a completely different feeling to know you are watching something happen right now.

 I'm still in shock. The future is really here.
